DWANE ELIX AND THE ENGINEERS
Not a week will go by that you won't see Dwayne Elix & The Engineers in Sydney’s Daily Telegraph Gig-guide. And no wonder when their popularity has gained them major clubs throughout Sydney booking them repeatedly. They are also regarded as one of the best dressed acts.
The Engineers don't just appeal to the die hard country music fans, they also have a huge following with the rock n roll and line-dancing dance clubs. Their style of music mixes Mike Tyne’s beautiful Pedal Steel playing with a unique sound of Everly Brothers harmonies and twangy Duane Eddy guitar, making them a true showband looked up to by their peers . Dwayne is also an independent recording artist and has had a lot of success with his own penned songs “ I Can Cry If I Want To “ and “ She Took The Engineer “. Both songs went number one on the Independent Country Charts, as well as making it into the Top Ten of the National Country Charts. On the single “I Can Cry If I Want To”, Keith Urban plays the lead guitar along with Ian Simpson.
Each year Dwayne releases a new Bluegrass album in time for the Midlura Country Music Festival, where he is recognised for banjo playing. These albums, Dwayne sings and performs every instrument. Banjo, guitar, mandolin, Dobro, bass, fiddle and keyboards, plus all the harmonies.
Dwayne Elix & The Engineers have worked with many other great artists -Troy Cassar-Daley, Keith Urban, James Blundell, Phil Emmanuel, Adam Harvey, Melinda Schneider, Michael Carr, Chad Morgan, televisions Troy Dann and Ernie Dingo, Felicity, Scott Dann, Darcy LeYear, America’s Lee Roy Pernell, and many other Stars. Dwayne Elix & The Engineers are Dwayne Elix lead singer and guitarist, Dave Cook on harmonies and Bass guitar, Steve Sullivan on harmonies and Drums and Mike Tyne on Pedal Steel.
Dwayne Elix is regarded as an equal by such country music stars as Troy Cassar-Daley, Frank Ifield and Adam Harvey, all have been quoted saying "Dwayne Elix & The Engineers are the hardest working Act in the music industry."
It was quite a surprise when American country blues performer Lee Roy Parnell on his last Australian Tour, stepped up out of the audience of The Engineers performance, to perform with the band. The same thing occurred with Phil Emmanuel at the Tamworth Festival when he stepped up out of the audience. It just goes to show, the audience can’t stop their feet from tapping and muso’s can’t help to want to play with Dwayne Elix & The Engineers.
And no wonder they are popular when you look at the facts •
Other Award nominations includes
• Dwayne received the S.A Great Award from the South Australian Government in appreciation of his work interstate
It is not surprising that Dwayne Elix & The Engineers have the popularity that they have, they relate to the people and entertain the audience with everything they’ve got.
MICHELLE LITTLE

Michelle is a professional country artist who
grew up in the rural NSW town of Mendooran listening to the vocals of Patsy
Cline, Marty Robbins and Jim Reeves.
Although she has experience singing a wide variety of music including classical
and pop, her roots are firmly planted in country music.
Michelle is now based in Sydney NSW, which is a far cry from the sleepy little
town where she grew up and "Michelle is a young woman with a big future"(Daily
Liberal)
Michelle currently performs as a solo artist and as a duo with the talented backing vocalist, Shona Corbin. She is also looking forward to performing with her band, which is in the process of coming together to help realize the full potential of Michelle's original material and of course to showcase her as the amazing performer she is.
Michelle graduated from the Sydney
Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music (Music Education) degree. After
a turbulent year in 2000, which almost saw the end of her singing career in a
serious car accident, Michelle was not only a CMAA College graduate and a
finalist in Toyota Star Maker 2001 but she also left her home in the country to
begin studying, and living, in Sydney.
Since completing her studies at the end of 2005, Michelle has shown that her
love of singing and performing country music is stronger than ever.
During her career Michelle has shared the stage with many great artists some of those include Gina Jeffreys, Lee Kernaghan, Jody Maphis (USA), Adam Brand, Beccy Cole, Felicity Urquhart, Stuart French and the Feral Swing Katz, and the list goes on and on!
Michelle has successfully competed and performed throughout Australia, New Zealand and the USA, winning the National Capital Country Music Awards (now known as NSW/ACT Champion of Champions) in 1997, and continues to give her time freely to community charities as well.

Wayne's career has taken him all over the world, developing a huge fan following in Australia, New Zealand, Britain and the United States. His big break in the U.S. came when he was invited to perform at Wisconsin's Hodag Country Festival in 1989, sharing the stage with country music stars Emmylou Harris, The Oak Ridge Boys, Freddy Fender and Ricky Van Shelton. The Festival attracts an estimated crowd of 40,000 people. Critics applauded him with "...it would be a mild understatement to say that Wayne Horsburgh was the hit of the show... in fact he should have been arrested for the brazen way in which he stole the show". Recognizing his talent and popularity, the organizers booked him back eight more times! Since then, he has also performed at many other County Fairs, Festivals and Theatres throughout the United States over many years.
Born and raised in the Victorian countryside near Benalla, Wayne Horsburgh started singing at a young age, forming his own dance band at age 11. Some of his early musical influences were Frank Ifield and Slim Whitman, hence the love for yodelling - a crowd pleaser at his shows.
After 25 years of performing in the USA Wayne Horsburgh has become a trailblazer for other Australian performers in international markets. Returning to Australia in 2010 he will continue to perform and record his unique brand of musical style - very much established as 'the people's entertainer'
